In these tough enconomic times just about everybody could use some extra cash. Many people are turning to the internet to find that extra cash. Today I'm going to share with you one way you can earn extra money on the internet in your spare time. To earn this money you don't need any products, don't ecommerce software, or an online shopping cart. What you will need is a website, traffic, and not be afraid to work.

I'm not much for gimmicks or schemes so what I'm going to share with you here isn't a get rich quick scheme, mlm, or any other shortcut to earnings. This idea is a proven way for you to earn extra money online, from home, in your spare time.

The money making idea I'm sharing with you today is simple. You're going to build a review website using WebStarts. Your review site could of course be about anything but there is one specific niche that performs very well online. That niche is software.

In a few easy steps I'll walk you can create a software review website that will actually make you money. Maybe it's not the kind of money that will put a Ferrari in your driveway but right now every little bit helps. 

Step 1: Sign up for a WebStarts Pro account.

If you haven't already done so sign up for a WebStarts Pro account. A WebStarts Pro account will provide you with a domain name, premium hosting, and of course ensure the site you build is submitted to major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Step 2: Sign up for a Clickbank.com account.

Clickbank is an affiliate marketplace where companies and people who make products can find people to sell their products for them. For example: If you have a product you want to sell and nobody knows about your product you can come to clickbank. Clickbank will list your product and website in their marketplace where other affiliate marketers can find your site. If they like your product and want to sell it to their customers you'd pay them a commission for each sale.

Step 3: Find  niche software products.

Once you're on Clickbank you'll be able to browse their marketplace for software you can sell. You should try to find software programs that are in an area of interest so it will be easier for you to write a review about them. For example: If you're a stay at home mom with children you may want to make your review site about the best family interenet filters. I know there are a number of these on Clickbank and they're good sellers. Other popular software programs are music download services, movie download services, spyware/aware removers, and privacy protection software just to name a few. In time maybe you'll want to make a review site for each of those categories but I suggest making a decision and picking one.

Step 4: Choose the software programs you want to review

Now that you've determined which niche to focus on you'll want to choose individual software programs you want to review. You can choose the programs you want to sell ony any number of factors. I suggest you look for products that you might actually buy yourself. The big idea here is that you want to provide reviews of each software program on your website and then link to the actual programs. Your site visitors will likely buy these programs and you will likely receive a commission. Look at the homepage for the products you'll be reviewing and ask yourself whether you would purchase them yourself. If the answer is yes than it's likely to be a good product for review.

Now that you've chosen your products you'll want to create what's called a hoplink for each. A hoplink is a way Clickbank can know who to give credit to for a sale. You hoplink will likely be your Clickbank username followed by the web address to the site where people can purchase the product you are providing a review for.

Step 5: Build your review page in WebStarts

You know which software programs you want to review  and have made a list of their hoplinks. Now it's time to create your review site. Login to your WebStarts account and begin creating your page. I prefer a top 10 style review page. That means you would rank the top 10 software products in a give category. So assuming you chose to do a review of internet filter software programs you could list them by rank from 1-10. Many of the software programs you'll be promoting will offer a free trial so you'll get a chance to use the software for yourself before posting a review. However some programs you may not have time to install and try. You can still provide a good review of those products by simply comparing features. Tip: If you think many of the programs look to be about the same make sure you give the highest ranking to the one's that convert the best. This will help you make money.

Once you've listed all the software programs you want to reivew make sure you have provided a link next to each so your site visitors will be able to visit each software programs homepage and complete a purchase. Be sure the link you create is your 'hoplink' provided by Clickbank. This is the only way to ensure you will make money and receive your commission.

Step 6: Promote your website

Now that your website  is complete you'll need to promote it. There are a ton of ways you can promote your website but the best way is to get listed on top of the search engine. Believe me, everyday people are searching google for a good internet filter, or adware remover. Getting ranked on top of search engines isn't easy but it's a sure fire way to start putting cash in your wallet. The best thing you can do to get on the search engines is upgrade to a WebStarts Pro account.
